Prior to your first phone call with Omatic's Onboarding Specialist, you will need to connect Omatic Cloud to your Sandbox instance to begin the database matching. Omatic Cloud will reach out to Salesforce and request the name, emails, and IDs of any individual you may be importing. This will allow Omatic Cloud to apply your custom matching algorithm to identify potential duplicate records. For this example, you will map one field (last name) to get the process started.
Please complete the following steps before your first phone call:
Step 1: Log into Omatic Cloud using the credentials provided
Step 2: You will be directed to the Data Queue page. Select 'Start Setup' to connect Omatic Cloud to your Salesforce Sandbox instance
Step 3: Select 'Salesforce' on the Integrations & Formulas setup page, and then click 'Next'
Step 4: Leave the display name as is, and then select 'Production' under Which environment would you like to use?
Under API Connection, select 'Connect.' This will open a new Salesforce page prompting you to login to your Sandbox instance. Once complete, select 'Next'
Step 5: You will now be prompted to select your data source. Please select 'File Upload' from the drop down menu, and then click 'Next'
Step 6: Leave the display name for the file upload credentials as is, and then select 'Next'
Step 7: On this screen you will select the formula type. For now, please select 'Contacts.' Please title the formula "Contact Import" and then select 'Next'
Step 8: Upload the file provided (OCX Formula Setup File), and then select 'Next'
Step 9: The first column will be your Salesforce fields. You will now map the data from the flat file provided to the destination field in Salesforce. Locate first name, and select the drop-down menu in the second column that says 'Ignore.' Change this to 'Mapped.' Next, select the magnifying glass and click Last Name. It will look like this:
Once complete, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Next'
Step 10: On the Matching Records page, leave the settings as is and select 'Next'
Step 11: On the Record Triage page, leave the settings as is and select 'Next'
Step 12: Finally, select 'Start Processing.' Please note that no data will be sent to your destination just yet.
