Description:
This solution discusses how to import an appeal to a constituent record.

Environment: All

Versions: All

Answer:

For versions 3.3.2.5 and Earlier:

1. Map the Appeal itself first. This is mapped with Record Type = Constituent Appeal - Appeal. The Value Type will be grayed out because the appeal is being pulled from the data file and is the categorical record. If any additional fields need to be mapped for the appeal those can be mapped after the appeal itself is mapped in the profile.

For example, if the Appeal is in column G, the mapping for the appeal date would be Record Type = Constituent Appeal - Date and Value Type = Field G.

For version 3.4 and Later:

Map the Appeal itself first. This is mapped with Raisers Edge Field = Constituent> Appeals> Appeal. If any additional fields need to be mapped for the appeal those can be mapped after the appeal itself is mapped in the profile.

For example, if the Appeal is in column G, the mapping for the appeal date would be Raisers Edge Field = Constituent> Appeals> Date>Appeal (Field G).
