***Note: PRIOR TO IMPORTING A PROFILE INTO YOUR NEW DATA RUN, YOU MUST HAVE:

A. Any IOM dictionaries, that you are using for the profile, recreated
B. Any default sets, that you are using for the profile, recreated in RE
C. All attributes/phone types/address types/table entries/etc, that you are mapping or using in the profile, created in RE
D. Default Criteria Sets in IOM set up and selected as the default for both Individuals and Organizations

***All of the above need to be named the same as they were in the previous run, or you will have to re-map/re-select them in the profile. If you don't do these things, your profile will generate errors and will not be usable.

Additionally, to be able to import, you must have at least one profile saved in IOM. It can be a dummy profile that you never do anything more than create and save. It doesn't have to be mapped, etc, it just has to be there.

  1. Once you have a profile in your new data run, then hold down the CTRL key and right click on the dummy profile in the list of available profiles in IOM. You will now have the option to import.
  2. Browse to the .xml file that is your profile export.

***After it imports, you will need to check ALL of the field mappings and settings/selections in the profile. Not all of them carry over when you export.
