Description: This solution describes how to use the MasterID file created in Excel
Environment: All
Versions: All

Answer:

An Excel file may be used to map your own unique ID to a specific C/F/A/P and Solicitor ID distribution. The Enhanced Package/Appeal Processing feature requires the use of ID values regardless of your RE User Options. Long descriptions can not be used with Master ID mapping.

The MasterIDs file need to have the following columns, in this order, with these column headers. It is not required to have values in each column, but the column headers must be present.

The MasterID column is the value that corresponds to your source data file, and the other columns are the values that will be populated by IOM.

The file must be saved as .xls, not .xlsx or .csv, with the name MasterIDs.xls.

The worksheet needs to be in the first tab of the Excel file.

In your IOM profile under Gifts, select the Excel option and use the Edit link to browse for and select the Excel file. The file must be stored in a common network location if it is to be accessed from multiple workstations.
