Adding a string of letters to the beginning of numbers

Hi -

I was wondering if someone can help me figure out how to write my dictionary to add "CP" to a string of numbers I'll be importing for a Gift ID.

I've looked at previous solutions in adding a "0" in front of some foreign phone numbers, but that hasn't worked for what I need it for. But I know it's close.

Any insight you guys can provide will be tremendously appreciated!

Example:

Imported as: 71000

What I want it to look like: CP71000

Hi Carrie, the easiest way to do this would be to use the '^' (above the 6 key) as your value to match on, with 'CP' as your replacement value. Note that this will prepend 'CP' no matter what the incoming text is:

Replacement Value                           Value to Match On

CP                                                        ^

A fancier formula could be needed if only wanting to prepend to a numeric value specifically, but this may be enough for what you are trying to do, let us know!
