Just came across this post...can this be applied to recurring gifts too?
Do you need the recurring gift import id in order to add the split gift to the appropriate active recurring gift?

Hi Shirley,
Yes, you can. You will need to select the option Process split gift amendments and indicate whether the split information should overwrite the existing splits or be added in addition to the existing splits.
